Care Instructions

High quality linen like ours is sturdy and durable

WASH: Your linen items can be hand washed and machine washed. Prior to shipping any items all pieces are washed and heat set to remove any excess dye and to set dye to ensure permanence.  Either washing method is a personal preference and will not shrink or stretch your fabric.

PLEASE NOTE:  For all pillow covers we recommend spot cleaning and machine washing only when necessary. With machine washing the leather pull may become fragile and brittle over time, to preserve the material integrity of the leather spot clean is most recommended.

Our personal preference:  Machine wash and line dry!

MACHINE WASH: For best results wash separately from other fabrics, especially for the first several washes. Wash in lukewarm water (104 F) or cool. Washing in high temperatures may cause shrinkage of up to 10% and overtime may weaken the linen fiber. Use gentle cycle and be careful to not overload the washing machine. Use mild detergent.

PLEASE NOTE: For any items lined with waxed. cotton canvas spot clean is recommended.  If you experience a spill or stain on the interior of the bag use a damp cloth to clean and lift stain, a mild detergent can be used as well. If stain is large enough. the whole piece needs to be laundered machine was COLD on delicate and hang to dry. DO NOT use heat in washing or drying as it may cause the wax to melt and can severely damage your piece.

DRYING: Air dry/ hand dry. Can be tumbled dry on low heat.

PILLOW INSERTS: Shell is made of a polyester – cotton blend | Machine washable cold,  Machine dry low,  Add tennis ball to drying cycle for extra fluffiness, Odorless, Fluff as needed, Lent and Dust Free

DO NOT BLEACH

IRONING LINEN: Natural linen will crease and wrinkle with time, it’s the nature of flax fiber. However, if you wish to iron: Medium-hot iron on the fabric while it is still dam or spray with just water to dampen prior to ironing.

STAINS: Minor spots or stains soak in a water detergent solution or spot wash with club soda. If the stain remains you can put some dish soap and gently  massage the mark until the stain lifts.  Then wash as usual.  For tricky stains sprinkle baking soda and a few drops of vinegar on fabric, blot the excess and wash as usual.
